Krebsessen bei Ikea 2012 ist Tierquälerei
Unsere Essgewohnheiten provozieren jeden Tag unendliches Tierleid. Aber nicht jedes Leid ist nötig. Damit sich der Möbelhersteller Ikea ein familienfreundliches , schwedisches Image geben kann, werden tausende Krebse aus China, einem Land das kein Tierschutzgesetz hat, umweltschädlich nach Deutschland transportiert und dort qualvoll getötet. 
Der Tierschutzbund teilt mit: “Für das beworbene Krebsessen werden lebende Krebse in kochendes Wasser geworfen. Der Todeskampf der Tiere kann mehrere Minuten dauern. Dabei zeigen die Krustentiere Fluchtbewegungen, die keine reinen Reflexe sind, sondern Verhaltensreaktionen auf einen schmerzhaften Reiz. Wissenschaftler haben bewiesen, dass Krustentiere durchaus Schmerzen und Leiden empfinden können. Sie schätzen deren Nervensystem als so hoch entwickelt ein, dass die Tiere sogar in der Lage sind, Handlungen vorauszusehen, die ihnen Schaden zufügen können. Auch wenn diese Art der Tötung der Tierschutz-Schlachtverordnung zufolge erlaubt ist, ändert dies nichts daran, dass es Tierqual ist. Der Deutsche Tierschutzbund fordert ein generelles Verbot dieser grausamen Tötungsmethode.”
Meine Freunde und ich werden jedenfalls nicht an diesem traditionellen Qualessen teilnehmen.
